TASTE OF CAPE TOWN FOOD TOUR

TASTE OF CAPE TOWN FOOD TOUR

SPECIAL OFFER EXTENDED UNTIL THE END OF APRIL 2021!

Join us on a foodie walking tour of Cape Town city.  We use the food tastings as a way to tell the story of the current reality of our city at this moment in time.   So much has changed over the last few months.   So many people in our food industry have fought really hard to survive.   Many have innovated and risen up to the challenge.   New places are opening.   We walk and explore the city.   We use the history to understand where we are today.  Our tour explores the influence of our cultures on our local cuisine.   During the day we taste the city both past and present.  The tour celebrates our local foodie community and shares our gems with you.

When:

Every Thursday from 9 –  2 pm as a small scheduled group with a maximum of 8 people on a tour. (Up until end MARCH 2021)

OR

BOOK A PRIVATE Taste of Cape Town Tour – you can select any other day from Tuesday to Friday for a private group (subject to availability).

Background:

Cape Fusion Tours were the first tour company to introduce food tours of Cape Town City in 2009.   The private food tours grew rapidly in popularity.  It was born in 2003 with a dream of having a company that would include all of her passions in life – food, wine, travel, history, people and the Cape.

Being unable to work during the lockdown period, Pamela launched www.capetowneats.com website to assist the food industry of the Cape to promote their businesses.   Many of these businesses were born out of necessity during the lockdown,  some will disappear, others will grow.  In order to add additional support – Pamela founded the Cape Town Eats Facebook Group.  This group is a foodie industry support community group to share everything that everyone is doing and to promote our local Cape businesses.

The Taste of Cape Town tour is the first time that Cape Fusion Tours has offered a scheduled tour option.  We have developed this tour especially for our locals to give you a local taste and insight into our city & its current culinary reality.
