TASTE THE CAPE PENINSULA FOOD TOUR

TASTE THE CAPE PENINSULA FOOD TOUR

A Private Food Tour of Cape Town’s Beautiful Peninsula

There are plenty of ways to tour the Cape Peninsula.

You can spend the day rushing from one famous landmark to the next, ticking attractions off a list before heading home.

Or…

You can experience the Peninsula the way we do.

One of our favourite ways to escape the city is to head for the coast and simply meander. We wander through the Peninsula’s beautiful seaside villages, stopping whenever somewhere catches our eye.   Sometimes it’s for exceptional coffee, sometimes for the freshest seafood, an artisan bakery, homemade ice cream, craft beer, local wine or a cocktail with an ocean view.

We stop because the food is worth discovering.

We stop because the people behind it have a story to tell.

We stop because there is another spectacular view around every corner.

Like all Cape Fusion Tours, food is our lens for discovering the places, people and stories that make the Cape Peninsula so special.

There is no rush. No fixed timetable. Just a wonderfully relaxed day of eating, drinking, exploring and discovering the Cape Peninsula at your own pace.

Why We Don’t Visit Cape Point

One of the first questions we’re asked is whether we visit Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope.

We don’t.

Our Taste the Cape Peninsula Food Tour is designed to help you fall in love with the Peninsula itself.

By not spending several hours driving to the very tip of the Peninsula, we gain something far more valuable.

Time.

Time to wander through charming coastal villages.

Time to discover independent cafés, bakeries and local foodie gems.

Time to browse galleries, boutiques and artisan stores.

Time to stop for another delicious discovery because it simply looks too good to resist.

Time to chat with the passionate locals behind the food.

Time to soak up one of the world’s most spectacular coastal drives without ever feeling rushed.

If you’re visiting the Peninsula for the first time, we’re always happy to include a stop to see our famous African penguins.

We want you to leave our tour with a real taste of the Cape.   Join us to experience our people, our passion and the beauty of this part of the world.

No Two Peninsula Food Tours Are Ever the Same

Like all Cape Fusion Tours, this isn’t a scripted tour.

Whether your idea of the perfect day includes exceptional coffee, fresh seafood, artisan bakeries, craft beer, local wine, homemade ice cream, boutique shopping, local art, nature or simply lingering over spectacular views, we’ll tailor the experience around your interests, your appetite and your pace.

Because that’s exactly how locals enjoy the Peninsula.

A Day of Delicious Discoveries

This isn’t a tour with one food stop followed by another attraction.

It’s a day of continuous discoveries.

A coffee enjoyed with a sea view.

Freshly baked pastries still warm from the oven.

Seafood overlooking the ocean.

An unexpected wine tasting.

A hidden cocktail bar.

Homemade ice cream on a sunny afternoon.

A conversation with the owner of a favourite neighbourhood café.

A village you instantly fall in love with.

Every stop adds another layer to the story of the Cape Peninsula.

Some discoveries are planned.

Others happen simply because something catches our eye.

That’s the beauty of travelling privately.

The day unfolds naturally around your curiosity, your interests and your appetite.

Experience the Peninsula Like a Local

At Cape Fusion Tours, we believe the best way to discover Cape Town isn’t by racing between attractions.

It’s by slowing down.

Taking the scenic route.

Following the aroma of freshly baked bread.

Stopping because a café looks inviting.

Discovering a village you never expected to love.

Meeting the people behind the food.

Sharing stories over exceptional coffee, seafood, wine or something sweet.

This is how we love to spend a day exploring the Peninsula.

Relaxed.

Unhurried.

Delicious.

A day that unfolds naturally, one beautiful view, one friendly conversation and one delicious discovery at a time.

Because that’s what we love most about the Cape.

And it’s exactly what we’d love to share with you.

Come hungry. Leave with a taste of the real Cape.

Tour Information

When We Tour

The Taste the Cape Peninsula Food Tour operates Monday to Friday from 08h00 to 17h00, with a slightly later departure of 08h30 on Saturdays.

We’re also happy to arrange the tour on a Sunday if that works best for your itinerary. As locals, however, we know the Peninsula is at its busiest on Sundays, so if you have the flexibility, we’d recommend joining us on another day for a more relaxed experience.

A Tour Designed Around You

Every Taste the Cape Peninsula Food Tour is private.

That means the day isn’t built around a group schedule – it’s built around you.

Before your tour, we’ll ask about your favourite foods, dietary requirements and any special interests you may have. Whether you’re passionate about seafood, have a sweet tooth, enjoy craft beer, local wine, coffee, art, shopping or simply love discovering beautiful places, we’ll tailor the experience to suit you.

If it’s your first visit to Cape Town, we’ll help you experience the Peninsula differently. If you’ve visited before, we’ll happily take you beyond the places you’ve already seen.

Dietary Requirements

Please let us know about any dietary requirements or preferences when booking.

We’re delighted to welcome vegetarians on this tour. Unfortunately, the Peninsula offers more limited options for strict vegan and gluten-free diets, although we’ll always do our very best to create an enjoyable experience and advise you honestly beforehand.

If you enjoy craft beer, local wine, cocktails or gin, let us know before the tour. As this is a private experience, we’re often able to tailor some of the tasting stops to match your tastes and interests.

A Few Things to Bring

And, most importantly… bring your appetite!
